What is Revit?

Autodesk Revit is building information modeling software for architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, Interior designers and contractors. It allows users to design a building and structure and its components in 3D, annotate the model with 2D drafting elements, and access building information from the building model’s database. Revit is a 4D BIM capable package with tools to plan and track various stages in the building’s lifecycle, from concept to construction and later demolition.

Why revit?

Every manufacturer who doesn’t have a revit catalogue and wants their product to be used by architects need to consider having a specialist come in and build their catalogue.

Many Industries will benefit building parametric products to code. An example of some industries that benefit from Revit are:

Window and door manufacturers, furniture, lighting, brick-stone-ceramic-timber-steel manufacturers, joinery, mechanical services, electronics and electrical, plumbing services, tilers, personal care items, elevators, are just some of the industries who can contribute to the world of BIM information models.

When a catalogue is built for a company metadata is crucial to the management of its life process throughout the design process. Schedules can be generated to determine how many to spec per floor and quantifying and cost estimation.

If you have a product that architects specify in their drawings, chances are they will specify your product over competitors if it is already built in 3D for revit. Architects simply are struggling to create their own 3D Revit family content as they are too busy trying to push drawings out to meet deadlines for tendering.

archvis have the knowledge and experience to create this content for you at a fast pace to ANZRC and CAD standards.

All Revit families will be flexible and designed to your needs to maximise streamlined use in revit.
